Sharp shooter Jordan Rhodes has confessed that Saturday's 2-2 draw with Huddersfield Town summed up Rovers' frustrating season.
Despite Rhodes grabbing his 20th of the campaign to follow up partner Rudy Gestede's opener at the John Smith's Stadium, Rovers were unable to hold onto their advantage with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.
It was the third time in the last four matches that Rovers have failed to take three points after going in front, the 12th time this campaign where points had been dropped from a leading position.
"I think everyone associated with Blackburn will sum it up in one word and that will be frustrating," admitted Rhodes.
"At times we've shown that we are up there and we are a force to be reckoned with.
"The last two or three games have really summed up what we've been about, Forest at home last week was 3-3 and on Saturday we were 2-0 up and it has finished 2-2.
"I think that is a stat that coming back next year we'd really like to eradicate and get better at.
"These things happen, we've got to get better at them it is as simple as that, and we'll work on that on the training field in pre-season when we come back."
Rhodes and Rovers bring their season to a conclusion next Saturday when they play Ipswich Town.
