As Rovers return to league action with a trip to take on Leeds United on Saturday, boss Gary Bowyer believes the international break came at the perfect time for his squad.

After a heavy schedule of fixtures, Rovers were thankful of the break, but the manager reports that the players have returned ready to end the season strongly.

Speaking ahead of the Elland Road clash, Bowyer said: "The break came at a great time for us, the players are now back and the place is buzzing again. You really get that sense of freshness from them.

"They had 13 games in 43 days leading up to it and the restrictions that we are under with this embargo really took it's toll because obviously we weren't able to bring any loan players in.

"I think if you look at it we've only brought four loan players in all season so at the end I think the players were running on entry.

"So we shut the place down for a couple of days and everybody has come back refreshed.

"We picked up some good news in the sense that we've got one or two back so it has been a good break for us.

"We are now looking forward to finishing the season strongly."

Tickets for the match against Leeds United will be available on the day of the game from the ticket office adjacent to the away turnstiles. Matchday prices are £39 Adults, £23 Seniors (60+), full time students and young adults aged 16-21, Under 16s can see the game for £16.
