Rovers make three changes from the side that narrowly lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup on Wednesday night.

With Alex Baptiste missing out through injury, his place in defence is taken by Tommy Spurr.

Jay Spearing is preferred to Corry Evans in midfield, whilst Chris Brown is a surprise return to full fitness, Craig Conway dropping to the bench after returning from a hamstring strain in midweek.

The hosts make five changes from their midweek draw with Blackpool as Pavel Pogrebnyak, Nathaniel Chalobah, Michael Hector, Jamie Mackie and Jem Karacan start.

Former Rovers players Yakubu and Nick Blackman are on the Royals' bench.
