Boss Gary Bowyer hailed the home supporters for their outstanding backing in the FA Cup quarter-final replay with Liverpool.
From the first minute to the last dramatic second the Blue and Whites were given great support in a match of high tension at Ewood Park.
"I think the fans showed the nation how good they are," the Rovers manager told Radio Rovers.
"I was delighted we got the replay for them after what they've been through. I've been here more than ten years myself so I understand what their frustrations are and their disappointment this season that we aren't challenging yet.
"So for them to perform like that on the terraces, the noise was unbelievable. They've stayed with us all the way through and they made it a really special night for the players and everyone involved.
"There's pride in our football club again. The supporters, the staff, everybody that has put the event on tonight, we've showed that there is a heartbeat still in the football club and it's beating.
"We've just got to keep going now and build on this and finish the season as strongly as we possibly can. Have a lot of hard work in the summer and look to kick on."
