Gary Bowyer has backed Jordan Rhodes to hit the 20-goal mark for Rovers for the third season in a row after scoring at St. Andrew's on Tuesday evening.
The striker was on target once more in last night's 2-2 draw with Birmingham City, a typical opportunist strike to take his tally for the campaign to 18.
Rhodes had had little opportunity in front of goal, but when Darren Randolph fumbled a Markus Olsson cross in the second half, the Scottish international was cool and composed to sweep the ball into the empty net.
"He was Johnny on the spot tonight," said the Rovers boss after the game.
"He took it well because he could have rushed it, but he didn't, he was composed.
"That is 18 for the season now from him, that is what he is about.
"We want him to continue doing that and the next four games are going to provide him with that opportunity to reach 20 goals."
Rhodes and Rovers are back in action this Saturday when Nottingham Forest are the visitors to Ewood Park.
