Gary Bowyer wants the Ewood crowd to roar Rovers to victory as they go in search of an FA Cup semi-final spot at Wembley.

With a 28,000 capacity crowd for this evening's quarter-final replay against Liverpool, the Rovers boss knows that the home fans can play their part in reaching the last four of the competition.

Bowyer knows it won't be easy against the Reds, but hopes that everyone can play their part - on and off the pitch.

"What we need is the Ewood Park fans to make as much noise as possible," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"I don't mean just at the start, I mean all the way through. I watched Crystal Palace verses Manchester City the other night and I thought the Crystal Palace fans were magnificent. They clapped every tackle, they applauded every goal kick which they got, they were cheering non-stop.

"We know the difference it can make, we saw that at Anfield, the 6000 that went there were unbelievable, and we need the whole of this place, I'm being told there'll be 28,000, so we need them to make a racket for 90 minutes.

"It will be a challenge for them as it will be a challenge for us, but we need the fans even more now.

"Nobody has given us a chance and we understand that, but this is the cup and anything can happen in the cup."

With a 28,000 capacity at Ewood Park this evening, supporters are advised to allow plenty of time to make their journey to the ground, with large queues expected at the Roverstore collection point.
