As Rovers completed their away programme for 2014-15, boss Gary Bowyer had words of thanks for the support his side have had on their travels this season.

The Rovers has boss has been delighted with the backing from the fans this campaign and made a point of thanking them after the final whilst at the John Smith's Stadium.

Despite the pitch invasion from the home crowd at full-time, the manager made his way over to the 1100 Rovers supporters to personally applaud them at the end of the game.

"I thought the supporters were magnificent," said the Bowyer.

"We were a little bit disappointed that we couldn't take the players over to go and thank them but obviously the pitch invasion stopped that.

"But I made the point myself because their following this year has been phenomenal away from home for us.

"Again their turned out in their thousands for us which is terrific effort from them."
