A fair point

Boss Gary Bowyer was pleased to see Rovers pick up another point on the road but admitted they didn't deserve all three at the Madejski Stadium.

Defences were on top as neither side created too much in the attacking third in a low key encounter against Reading.

"From our point of view I thought we showed an enormous amount of character off the back of Wednesday night," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"We travelled, got organised again but we weren't really threatening enough.

"It was a massive effort on Wednesday but today we looked leggy and it took a while for some of them to get going.

"The positives are the defensive side of it and the clean sheet. Away from home, you've got to be happy with that.

"We have got standards, we have got pride, and I didn't think we were up there in the first half. But we stepped it up in the second half and had a couple of half chances.

"It was hard fought, for us to come away with a clean sheet was terrific. Our supporters were magnificent again, we are just disappointed we couldn't give them too much to shout about."
