Ryan hoping for a run of games

26 September 2014

After missing out on the weekend win over Fulham, Ryan Tunnicliffe is hoping that his cameo appearance against Derby County was enough to earn him a first start against Watford.

The on-loan midfielder was ineligible to face his parent club Fulham, but his impressive half hour against the Rams in Rovers' previous game could see Tunnicliffe come into contention for a starting berth at Ewood Park this Saturday.

Tunnicliffe was disappointed to miss the Craven Cottage clash but is now hoping to get a run of matches for Rovers - starting with Watford.

"I thought I did alright against Derby and then you look to the game at the weekend but unfortunately it was the Fulham game," said the midfielder.

"But now I think it is good that is out of the way now and if I do get in now I can get a good run of games."

After claiming two wins from three difficult games last week, the 21-year-old wants to kick-start another week of matches by making it back-to-back victories.

"We had three very difficult games so it was a great result for us to get the six points," added Tunnicliffe. "If you'd have said we'd get six points from those games beforehand I think we'd have taken that.

"Now we want to push on this Saturday, get back-to-back wins and hopefully get another three points.

"We are right where we want to be now with this run of games coming up, so hopefully we can win a few more.

"We've just got to focus on the game coming up and hopefully get three points and then focus on Tuesday after that."

Tickets for Saturday's Ewood match against Watford will be on sale up until the 3pm kick-off. They are priced from £17 for Adults, from £11 for Seniors & Students and from just £6 for Under-17s.
