Rovers have made it a trio of deadline day deals with the arrival of midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe from Fulham.
Hot on the heels of the signings of Shane Duffy and Jason Steele, the former Manchester United trainee returns to the north west on a season-long loan deal.
"I can't wait to get started," said the England youth international.
"First and foremost it is a massive club, a club that belongs in the Premier League, so I'm looking forward to getting back playing and obviously the target is to get the club back up there."
The box-to-box midfielder came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford, having joined the club at the age of nine, and played a key role in United’s FA Youth Cup success in 2011.
He made two senior appearances for United, both in the Capital One Cup, and spent time on loan with Peterborough United, Barnsley and Ipswich Town, before making a deadline day move to Fulham in January 2014.
Following a change of manager at Craven Cottage, Tunnicliffe was loaned out to Wigan Athletic for a brief spell, before returning to Fulham towards the end of the season.
