Returned fit and well

11 September 2014

Gary Bowyer has reported no injury problems with the players that have been away on international duty.

Rovers had Grant Hanley, Joshua King and Corry Evans away with their respective countries during the international break, but all have returned fit and well.

"The ones that went away have all come back fit and well which is always good," confirmed the Rovers boss.

"Obviously last season we had one or two mishaps with that but fortunately this season has started off well for us."

Rovers welcome back Markus Olsson for the Wigan Athletic game, whilst Bowyer is hopeful that Rudy Gestede will be fit and well after missing the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.

The squad will still be without Tommy Spurr who, whilst making good progress from his groin injury, isn't yet fit for a return.

Chris Brown misses the game after undergoing a knee operation.

"Tommy Spurr is getting there, he is going to be another couple of weeks," added the Rovers boss.

"Rudy has trained today so we'll see how he is tomorrow, he said he felt fine so you always have to just assess him the day after."

Deadline day signings Shane Duffy, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Jason Steele are all added to the squad.

Tickets for Saturday's match against the Latics will be on sale up until the 3.00pm kick-off, priced from £21 for Adults, from £13 for Seniors/Students and from £8 for Under-17s.

Why not book online today at and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point.

The weekend game is also the last opportunity fans have to purchase a 2014-15 season ticket.

Season ticket prices start from just £249 for Adults, from £159 for Seniors and 17-21 year-olds. Juniors aged up to 17 can get a season ticket for just £60, whilst under 8s go free in the family stand when accompanied by a paying adult.
