Maintain that goalscoring threat

17 September 2014

Gary Bowyer is pleased to see that goalscoring duties have been shared around the squad so far this season.

Rovers have scored 11 goals from their six league games played this campaign, with Jordan Rhodes, Rudy Gestede, Tom Cairney, Grant Hanley and - after his brace in the weekend win over Wigan Athletic - Ben Marshall all getting on the scoresheet.

Now as Rovers prepare to take on Derby County at Ewood Park this Wednesday night, the manager is very keen for that to continue.

"The massive thing that is pleasing us at the moment is that the goals are getting shared around the team," said the Rovers boss.

"That has been good for us because we don't have to necessarily just rely on Jordan, although he has got into his groove now.

"We've had Rudy, Jordan, Tom Cairney and now Marshy on Saturday. Then we've got the defenders contributing as well with Grant Hanley's goal against Bournemouth.

"So they've been shared out already so we are pleased with that and want it to continue. The fact that we've got threats from all areas of the pitch is very pleasing."

Tickets for this evening's match against the Rams will be on open sale until the 7.45pm kick-off. Tickets are priced from £21 for Adults, from £13 for Seniors/Students and from £8 for under 17s.
