Keep the home form going

17 September 2014

Matt Kilgallon wants Rovers to maintain their impressive home form with another positive result when they face Derby County this Wednesday evening.

After the weekend win over Wigan Athletic, the former Sunderland man has stressed the importance of backing that up with victory over the Rams at Ewood Park tonight.

“We said as we were going out before the Wigan game, ‘let’s have a good week’.

“We’ve started off with a win but we’ve got to carry it on against Derby and get right at them straight away.

“They’ll know what’s coming as we’re starting to make Ewood a place not many teams like to come to now.

“That’s a nice thing to have and we’ll be up for it.”

Kilgallon, who returned to the starting XI on Saturday after a back injury, knows it won't be an easy match against Steve McClaren's side.

"McClaren is a top manager and he is going to have them playing well," added Kilgallon. "I watched them against Nottingham Forest and they did well away from home.

"But we are full of confidence, it is a good thing to have, because you are a better player when you are confident.

"If we want to be up there we need to going on runs, we've started this week with a good result and we want to carry it on."

Tickets for this evening's match against the Rams will be on open sale until the 7.45pm kick-off. Tickets are priced from £21 for Adults, from £13 for Seniors/Students and from £8 for under 17s.
