Ryan Tunnicliffe was pleased to see his header hit the back of the net to earn Rovers a point in a pulsating 2-2 draw with Watford on Saturday.
The on-loan midfielder's strike 12 minutes from time was his first senior goal as Rovers roared back from two goals down to draw with the Hornets.
"It has been a long time coming," Tunnicliffe told Radio Rovers. "I'm delighted to get off the mark now and hopefully I can get a few more.
"I can't really remember it to be fair, my eyes lit up when it came into the box and I was delighted to see it hit the back of the net.
"We were tremendous in the second half, we showed a lot of character like we always do. If we had come off losing that game it would have been a real blow that we didn't deserve.
"If you look at the game I don't think we were that far off in the first half, they just scored two good goals. Then in the second half we put them under a lot of pressure.
"We are genuinely disappointed that we didn't win the game, but we go on now to Tuesday and hopefully we can pick up three points there."
Rovers are back in action this Tuesday night when they travel to the New York Stadium to face Rotherham United.
Tickets are currently on sale priced £23 for Adults, £13 for Over 60s and Students, £8 for 13-17 year-olds and £6 for Under-12s.
Fans should note that whilst tickets will be on sale at Rotherham on the night of the game there is a £2 increase in prices.
