Rovers Ladies made it three league wins on the spin courtesy of a 1-0 victory at home to Derby County.
Just as she did against local rivals Preston North End at the start of the month, Katie Anderton scored the only goal of the game close to half-time.
Rovers started brightly, creating a couple of chances early on, but it was Derby who quickly got a grip of the game.
In a fairly uneventful first-half, it was the visitors who looked the more likely to make the breakthrough.
A mistake at the back let in a Derby player one-on-one with Jo Hutchseon, who parried the ball over the bar. Rovers had another let-off, as the Rams failed to hit the target.
After recognising a few weaknesses at the break, Rovers soon rectified those and scored within 45 seconds of the restart.
Jess Holbrook played the ball through and Anderton slotted past the keeper for her third of the season.
The hosts were dealt a blow when Sophie Jones was forced off with an ankle injury, but despite the lengthy delay and reshuffle of positions, Rovers continued to create chances and preserved their lead to secure the points.
Manager Gemma Donnelly said: “Whilst it wasn’t our best performance or a convincing scoreline, we showed resilience and hard work as a team to battle through and come away with the three points, which is the most important thing.
“We are a new squad and we are still capable of going up a few gears, and once we are in tune, we’ll be a very decent outfit.
“It was also great to see Nicky Twohig play her first competitive game since rejoining the club. With Lynda Shepherd away on international duty, Nicky stepped up to the plate.”
