Show the same determination

21 October 2014

Boss Gary Bowyer doesn't want Rovers to waste their hard-earned point gained at Portman Road on Saturday when they face Birmingham City this evening.

Ten-man Rovers battled well to earn a share of the points against Ipswich Town, and the manager knows they'll have to work just as hard at Ewood Park tonight.

Bowyer feels his side have performed well on home soil in recent weeks, but it is time to turn those performances into meaningful points.

"We've now got to use the momentum and work very hard again like we did on Saturday," said the Rovers boss.

"We need to produce the level of performances that we have done at home over the last two games.

"Against Watford we created so many chances and it was the same against Huddersfield. So we've got to take advantage of that and then it makes the point against Ipswich an even better point.

"We keep talking to the players about getting our noses in front and keeping our noses in front.

"Recently we always seem to be having to try and chase back but the commitment and the level of performance once they go behind is fantastic in that sense, but we don't want to be doing that all the time that is for sure.

"In the last couple of weeks we've been more dogged off the ball and more competitive. It shows that they are improving."

Tickets for this evening's game will be on open sale until the 7.45pm kick-off. Tickets are priced from £17 for Adults, £11 for Seniors/Students and from £6 for Juniors under 17.
