Ryan raring to go against former club

17 October 2014

Rovers midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe wants to put one over old friends when he takes on Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Tunnicliffe enjoyed a successful six-month loan spell at Portman Road last term, and whilst he'll always have a soft spot for the Tractor Boys, it is all about getting the three points for Rovers this weekend.

Speaking head of the game the midfielder said: "I have very happy memories of Ipswich. I've still got very good friends there and I enjoyed working with the gaffer.

"It is the first game of a tough week, but I think we can go there and win.

"They are on a great run and fair play to them, but we are going to go there and expect to win because we believe we can go anywhere and win if we play how we are capable of playing.

"I don't think we should fear them, we've got people coming back now and the squad is getting back to fitness.

"We'll go there and try and win like we always do."
