Respond in a positive manner

3 October 2014

Gary Bowyer knows Huddersfield Town will present yet another tough test for Rovers this Saturday.

The Terriers come to Ewood Park in good form having claimed back-to-back wins in their last two outings.

Chris Powell's side followed up their weekend win over Millwall with an impressive 3-1 defeat of Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Bowyer an interested observer at Molineux.

"I went to the game myself and again, this is the Championship, anybody can beat anyone as has been proved in the last few games," said Bowyer.

"Driving there, listening to the local radio, all the talk was about Wolves winning and going top. Huddersfield turned up and had other ideas, that just shows you there is no given right to win any game of football, you have to earn the right.

"Just because you have good players you can't just expect to turn up and let it happen. We have to make it happen and that has been the big message.

"It is going to be a very difficult game. They come to us off the back of two wins on the trot, which is everything you are striving for in the Championship, to get that consistency, it is what we are looking for.

"Against Wolves, Huddersfield had a good game plan, and I'm sure they'll have a game plan for us.

"It is up to us to try and get after them, but at the same time be patient. Every time we have suffered a setback we've always responded in a positive manner and I've no doubt that the players will do that again on Saturday. Use the support that we'll have at Ewood, the positive energy that we'll get off them."
