King forced off in Norway win

14 October 2014

Rovers star Josh King limped off as Norway made it back-to-back wins in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Winger King – who netted twice in the 3-0 victory in Malta at the weekend – was replaced just before the hour-mark by match winner Havard Nielsen in last night’s 2-1 triumph over Bulgaria.
The hard-fought victory leaves Norway just three points shy of Group H leaders Croatia after three group games.
Grant Hanley provided Rovers with another potential injury headache as he pulled out of the Scotland squad ahead of their match with Group D leaders Poland tonight.
The Rovers captain picked up a knee injury in the Scots’ 1-0 victory over Georgia on Saturday.
Midfielder Corry Evans will be hoping for a recall when his Northern Ireland side come up against Greece this evening.
Evans started the opening qualifier against Hungary, but was an unused sub last time out against the Faroe Islands.
However, the 24-year-old is expected to return for the trip to Greece as the Irish look to cement their place at the top of Group F.
