Josh King played a starring role as Norway gained their first win of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
The Rovers forward scored in each half and claimed an assist as Norway easily brushed aside Malta 3-0 at the Ta' Qali National Stadium.
Having been beaten 2-0 by Italy in their opening Group H match, it was imperative that the Norwegian's got off the mark and they duly did with a comfortable victory over their opponents.
Cardiff midfielder Mats Moller Daehli opened the scoring for the visitors on 22 when he converted a King cross, before King doubled their advantage with a smart run and finish three minutes later.
King then wrapped up the three points with a third early in the second half, heading home a cross four minutes after the restart.
The Rovers man went close on several occasions to claim a hat-trick, but was denied by Malta goalkeeper Andrew Hogg before being replaced on 75 minutes.
Elsewhere Croatia defeated Bulgaria and Italy beat Azerbaijan to maintain their 100% start in the group, Norway are on the same points as Bulgaria who they meet on Monday evening.
