Rovers manager Gary Bowyer this afternoon confirmed that captain Grant Hanley was on his way back to Brockhall to be assessed by the club's medical team.
The Rovers skipper pulled out of the Scotland squad for tomorrow's Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland after picking up a knee injury in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Georgia.
Hanley played a full part in the weekend win at Ibrox, but didn't travel with his international team-mates to Warsaw today.
"Grant is on his way back down today," said the Rovers boss.
"He got a bang on his knee on Saturday, so he'll go and see our medical team this afternoon and we'll make an assessment from there.
"Knowing Grant, it's not a little scratch, because he doesn't miss games through injury."
