Duffy: Our play merited more

6 October 2014

Shane Duffy felt the team didn't get the points their performance deserved as Rovers drew 0-0 with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Rovers failed to score at home in the league for the first time since last April on a frustrating afternoon at Ewood Park.

Man-of-the-match Duffy felt Rovers did everything right, but they just couldn't get the goals their play merited.

"I think everybody is disappointed," the defender told Radio Rovers.

"I thought we played very well, we were the better team, they're a lot happier with a point than us.

"We had so many chances, even in the first half we had a few. It was one of those days really in front of goal, I thought our front two were brilliant, they caused them problems all game, but it just didn't go in for us.

"We wanted to bounce back from Tuesday, obviously we didn't get the win but I thought the performance was there.

"It has been a frustrating week, to only get two points from nine is very frustrating. But we've the break now, we have a few knocks and a few players out, so hopefully when we get back for the next game we can have everyone fit."

Tickets for Rovers' next match against Ipswich Town are currently on open sale. Prices for the Portman Road clash are £32.50 for Adults, £23 for Seniors 60+ and Students with a valid NUS, £22 for Under 10s and £11.50 for Under 16’s.
