Be more ruthless in front of goal

18 October 2014

Gary Bowyer has challenged his Rovers side to convert more of the chances that the team are creating.

Rovers have grabbed 16 goals from their 11 games played so far this season, but with the amount of opportunities the side create, he believes they should have added more to their tally.

"We've just got to look at putting performances together," said Bowyer.

"In the last three games especially we've created numerous goal attempts and now we've just got to convert them and make sure we are right at the other end as well because in the last four games we have kept two clean sheets.

"So we are making progress on that, but it is about piecing it all together now.

"We've told the players to keep focusing on what they have been doing, but to be a little more ruthless now.
