Gary Bowyer hailed last-gasp hero Ben Marshall after his 93rd minute free-kick earned Rovers a point at Portman Road on Saturday.
Ten-man Rovers trailed Ipswich Town after David McGoldrick had put the home side in front following Matt Kilgallon's harsh sending off, but Marshall had other ideas with a stunning free-kick of his own to net his fourth of the season.
Injury meant Marshall missed the second half of last season, but his manager has been delighted with the way he has begun the new campaign.
"He's been an outstanding player for us so far this season in the first 11 games," Bowyer told Rovers Player.
"That just typified how he's progressed and come on. To be able to do that.
"We felt that to get a goal we needed to push him further up the pitch, we brought Adam on for that and made the change.
"He's got magnificent technique and I'm delighted that he was able to put it away.
"He was up for Championship Player of the Month but didn't get it. He's now made a good start in that sense for October because his level of performances have been brilliant."
Marshall and Rovers are back in action this Tuesday when Birmingham City are the visitors to Ewood Park. Tickets are on open sale priced from £17 for Adults, £11 for Seniors/Students and from £6 for Juniors under 17.
