Albion test for U21s

27 October 2014

Rovers Under-21s return to action at Leigh Sports Village this Monday evening when they take on West Bromwich Albion.

Eric Kinder's young side go into the game in a buoyant mood following their impressive goalless draw with Arsenal at Boreham Wood FC ten days ago.

But it won't be easy against an Albion side that have won four of their six games played this season including a 4-1 win over Aston Villa last time out.

The development squad went goal crazy on their last appearance at Leigh last month, scoring five times in an excellent 5-2 win over Stoke City.

Kinder has named a similar squad to the one that drew with Arsenal. Yann Songo'o gets some game time this evening, replacing Darragh Lenihan who joined Burton Albion on loan last week.

ROVERS: Crump, Daly, Doyle, Green, Songo'o, Lavelle, Carson, Bauress (c), Rittenberg, Tanner, Mahoney.

Subs: Preston, Williams, Cham, Wall, Joel.

WEST BROM: Rose, Atkinson, Garmson, Pace, Cleet, Howkins, Barrow, S. Nabi, Jones, A. Nabi (c), Wedderburn.

Subs: Birch, Palmer, Campbell, Smart.

Season ticket holders can see the game for free on production of their season ticket card, whilst Under-16s can also gain free admission with ID.

General admission prices are £4 Adults and £2 Concessions, kick-off at Leigh Sports Village is at 7.00pm.
