Gary Bowyer has hailed the contribution of Jordan Rhodes as he approaches a landmark game this weekend.
The Rovers striker will make his 100th league appearance for the club at Ewood Park on Saturday, when he faces former side Huddersfield Town.
Rhodes has notched 56 goals during those 99 games, with his manager not backing against him scoring against the Terriers once more.
"It is an outstanding contribution isn't it? Bowyer told Rovers Player. "An unbelievable effort from him.
"He is fully appreciative of the lads that provide him with those chances. He has never got carried away with himself, he is always wanting to analyse his game and see how he can get better. For that return it is just phenomenal."
Whilst his goalscoring antics are rightly focused on Bowyer believes there is now much more to his game than just scoring goals, with Rhodes working hard to improve all aspects of his performance.
The Rovers boss added: "A lot of people just see him as a finisher, but that is great for us because his work-rate and his link-up play has improved a lot already and that is something that he is aware of.
"It is up to us to get the ball in the box to allow him to do what he does best."
