Striker starts in Senior Cup

25 November 2014

Chris Brown is a confirmed starter in this evening's Lancashire Senior Cup quarter-final against Manchester United.

The summer signing from Doncaster hasn't featured for Rovers due to a troublesome knee injury, but after scoring twice in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Carlisle United last week, the striker will step up his comeback in tonight's cup clash.

Brown isn't the only senior on show against United as Adam Henley, Yann Songo'o and Chris Taylor are also handed starts.

There's also a reserve-team debut for 16-year-old Ryan Nyambe. The defender is expected to play at right back for Rovers this evening.

This evening's visitors have also taken the opportunity to give several of their first team stars a run out.
