Rovers remembrance service

10 November 2014

The ‘Rovers Remember’ memorial, which honours Blackburn’s fallen war heroes, has been revamped.

The wooden plaques, which were salvaged from Hollin Bank Mission, had become damaged by the weather and have been replaced by a granite replica, manufactured free of charge by Brent Stevenson Memorials.

The commemorative gesture enables the club to continue to remember those who gave their lives in the Great War from the Ewood area.

A wreath will be laid during a special remembrance service at the memorial, situated on the side of the Jack Walker Stand, at 11am on Tuesday November 11th.

All supporters are welcome to attend.
