Gary Bowyer is eager for a repeat performance at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, but this time to be on the right end of a result.
The last time the two sides met at Falmer Rovers did everything but find the back of the net, as an inspired goalkeeping display from Tomasz Kuszczak thwarted Bowyer's side.
Rovers had eight shots on target and ten shots off, but it was the Seagulls who were the more clinical side, winning the match 3-0.
Now as they prepare to return almost 12-months to the day, Bowyer hopes that on this occasion it is Rovers who'll be celebrating.
Reflecting on the match the Rovers boss said: "Their goalie was man of the match, he did ever so well, he saved everything that we threw at him.
"In the first half there wasn't much in it, Dickson Etuhu came on and gave a penalty away just before half-time.
"But that didn't rock us, we kept on the front foot and we did ever so well bar scoring goals, and then got caught on the counter and a certain Craig Conway put a hell of a cross in for one of the goals for them.
"This year is a different squad for both teams, we go there full of confidence and with a little bit more desire and determination to see it through after Tuesday night's disappointment.
"I think progress has been made since then and we are continuing to try and make this team and this squad better. That is working on the training ground with the players that we've got and working very hard with them."
