Focus on performance levels

28 November 2014

Gary Bowyer knows the importance of maintaining their current performance levels as they face Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Rovers go into this weekend's top-six clash against fellow promotion chasers looking to keep their unbeaten run going.

The Rovers boss knows the game at the Riverside won't be easy, but with confidence in the camp high, he believes they can come away with a positive result.

"They were one of my fancies for the season," admitted Bowyer. "They've an outstanding manager who has very good contacts.

"They've got goals in their team, throughout the team. Grant Leadbitter is outstanding to have eight goals from midfield already.

"I think a positive result away from home anywhere in this league is a great performance and a great result because anywhere in this league is such a difficult place to go.

"It would set us up ever so well for that busy Christmas period. We've just got to focus on the performance levels of our lads and how we go about it.

"We'll prepare properly, there's a great buzz around the training ground at the moment. The lads' confidence is sky high and they are really enjoying their football.

"If anything, training this week has gone up another level, it really has."

Tickets for Saturday's game go off sale at Ewood at 4pm on Friday, after that supporters can purchase tickets on the day of the game at the Riverside Stadium, cash only from the South Stand ticket office next to the away turnstiles from 1.30pm.

Ticket prices are £31 for Adults, £23 for over 65s and £16 for Under-18s.
