Five on duty

10 November 2014

Domestic football takes a backseat this week with internationals taking centre stage once more.

There'll be no break for five Rovers players who have been included in their respective national squads.

Kicking off the internationals is Rovers' top scorer Rudy Gestede. He will link up with the Benin national squad for their match against Morocco in Marrakech on Thursday 13th November.

The following day development squad defender Sam Lavelle will be looking to pick up another cap for Scotland. He is with their Under-19 squad for their international friendly match against the Netherlands at Falkirk.

Friday also sees the Euro 2016 qualifiers kick in with two important matches for two key Rovers players.

Grant Hanley is with the Scotland squad for their qualifier against the Republic of Ireland at Celtic Park, whilst Corry Evans' Northern Ireland will be out to maintain their 100% start to their qualifying campaign with a tricky group match away to Romania in Bucharest.

Darragh Lenihan could have two matches for the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad. Saturday sees the midfielder, who is currently on loan with Burton Albion, take on the USA, before they follow that up with a second friendly against Russia. Both games take place in Marbella.

Grant Hanley also has an international friendly match the following Tuesday. Just the small matter of Scotland v England at Celtic Park, Glasgow.
