Gary Bowyer hailed yet another second half showing as Rovers claimed a second successive 3-1 league win after victory over Reading.
Rudy Gestede headed Rovers in front on the quarter hour before the visitors levelled through Glenn Murray just before half-time.
Rovers stepped it up after the break as Ben Marshall and Rudy Gestede grabbed further goals to ensure a third victory in a row for the blue and whites.
"It is a fantastic victory because that was a tough game," Bowyer told Radio Rovers after the match.
"They are a good team, and I think they'll be up there, so for us to put in a performance like we did was fantastic.
"We were delighted to get the first goal, but we conceded just before half-time with a goal that personally I thought was coming.
"What we always do is finish very strong and I thought in the second half we kicked on superbly and scored some great goals.
"That is full credit to the players, there's a belief about us, but we know there is still lots of football to be played.
"We now have a tough game on Tuesday away at Millwall but this sets us up nicely for it."
Rovers return to action this Tuesday night when they travel to the Den to face Millwall. Tickets are still on open sale for the match priced £23 for Adults, £14 for Seniors 60+, £10 for Under-16s and £5 for Under-12s.
