We have to end the season strongly

11 March 2014

Gary Bowyer insists Rovers can bounce back from Sunday's defeat by getting back on the promotion trail with victory over AFC Bournemouth tomorrow night.

Rovers missed the chance to close the gap to the top six with the 2-1 loss to their near-neighbours, but the manager believes Wednesday's match at Ewood Park gives the team the perfect opportunity to return to winning ways.

"Obviously Monday morning it was a bit sore and painful still, but we had a good meeting and we spoke about the importance of the next 13 games, starting on Wednesday," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"It is work in progress but we are really up for finishing the season as strong as we can now.

"We are six points behind, we've got a game in hand on people in and around us, so it is up to us now to really concentrate and get back to winning ways and put a strong run to the end of the season and see where it gets us.

"That is the beauty of the play-offs, it has always provided teams with something to aim for all the way through to the end of the season and we are no different."

Tickets for the Bournemouth match are on open sale from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect on the night of the game. For further information ring the ticket office on 0871 222 1444.
