Rudy Gestede always knew that Craig Conway would be a huge hit after joining the club.
Rovers secured the services of the Scottish international at the end of the January transfer window, the midfielder joining from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee, putting pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Since arriving Conway has repeatedly put in impressive displays, but none of this has come as a surprise to former Cardiff team-mate Gestede.
"I knew he was a good player, he proved this at Cardiff and even before," said Gestede.
"I knew it was a good signing for the team because he brings something different and something fresh.
"He is a very good player and a good guy outside football, so I was happy when he joined the club."
On his own form, striker Gestede was delighted to get back amongst the goals in Tuesday night at Watford.
The Benin international's fifth goal in a Rovers shirt since the turn of the year ensured a share of the points against the Hornets, but whilst his manager has challenged Gestede to reach double figures in the remaining games, the man himself is happy as long as someone is scoring for the club.
"I don't put a target, I will try to score the maximum that I can," added Gestede.
"Ten goals would be good for a half season, but if Jordan goals scores ten or fifteen goals then I'll be very happy, as long as we get to the play-offs my season will be good.
"We create lots of chances so we are going to score more goals."
See Gestede and Rovers in action against Millwall later today, tickets will be on sale from the North Stand Ticket Office at The Den, priced £26.00 Adults, £17.00 Seniors (aged 60+), £13.00 Under 16s, and £7.00 Under 12s.
