Corry Evans wants to take his derby frustrations out on AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

The fit-again midfielder was disappointed as Rovers threw away a leading position to slip to a narrow 2-1 loss against Burnley on Sunday.

Rovers are back at Ewood Park this Wednesday night when Bournemouth are the visitors, with the Northern Ireland international eager to bounce back against the Cherries.

Speaking to Radio Rovers, Evans said: "We were in the lead and cruising with it as well. Looking back at the game now it is two really silly goals to give away, especially the second one.

"It is over now we've just got to move on. Hopefully we'll get to play Burnley again in the future, in the Premier League or the Championship next year so we can put it right.

"Looking back, we've had that Jordan Rhodes chance that hits the post, if that goes in then it is a completely different game, but that is football, we've just got to move on now and look forward to the next game.

"So it is really frustrating for the lads but we've just got to dust ourselves down and go again on Wednesday.

"There's a lot of football still to be played between now and the end of the season, we've just got to stay focussed and try and win as many games as we can.

"We've just got to make sure that we turn up for every game now, give it our all and try and win as many games as we can."

Rovers for Wednesday night's match are on open sale priced £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at and collect on the day of the game, or call the ticket office on 0871 222 1444 for further information.
