David Dunn will be a special guest at the Roverstore at Ewood Park this Friday afternoon.
The fans favourite will be in the club shop from 4pm serving customers ahead of this weekend's big match against Burnley,
The Rovers star is offering fans the chance to win a unique piece of derby day memorabilia – whilst helping a hat-trick of worthy causes to boot!
For Dunny has agreed to raffle the black boots he wore in last season’s home clash with Burnley, when his injury-time strike secured a dramatic 1-1 draw.
Trailing 1-0 with just seconds left on the clock, up popped Dunny to net the late leveller and preserve Rovers’ long unbeaten record against our local rivals.
With this season’s return fixture fast approaching, the Rovers ace has now decided to put the prized possession up for grabs.
“With the Burnley game just around the corner, I thought this would be a timely opportunity to give something back to the fans,” said Dunny.
“Hopefully we can raise as much money as possible for three worthy causes, two of which are local charities that support local people.
“The idea behind holding a raffle is that it gives all Rovers fans an equal chance of winning and hopefully the boots will go to a home that gets as much pleasure from owning them as I did from scoring that goal!”
Raffle tickets, which are on sale now, cost just £10, with all proceeds to be split between Dunny’s three chosen charities – HYPE of Blackburn, The John Bury Trust and Prostate Cancer UK.
The draw will be made at the Bournemouth game on Wednesday March 12th and the lucky winner will receive an exclusive invite to Rovers’ Senior Training Centre, where they will be presented with the boots by the player himself!
As an added bonus, the club have agreed to offer two extra prizes – a signed Rovers shirt and two Legends Lounge passes for the forthcoming home game against Leicester City.
Tickets are available from the Roverstore (Ewood Park), Oneroverstore (Blackburn town centre), online at www.onerovers.co.uk and from the Ticket Office on 0871 222 1444 until close of business on Tuesday March 11th.
