Rovers striker Leon Best has extended his loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old joined the Owls on an initial month-long loan on February 14th and will now remain in South Yorkshire until May 3rd.
Best, who had two previous loan spells with Sheffield Wednesday earlier in his career, has scored once in six appearances for Stuart Gray’s side – against Charlton in the FA Cup.
The former Republic of Ireland international, who missed a first-half penalty in the 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic in midweek, will be ineligible to play against Rovers when the two teams meet at Hillsborough on April 12th.
Best has scored twice in 16 appearances for Rovers since signing from Newcastle United in July 2012.
