Boss Gary Bowyer believes new signing Liam Feeney will prove to be a great attacking option for the squad.
Feeney joined Rovers from Millwall on Saturday lunchtime, signing on loan for the remainder of the current campaign.
Fans got their first view of the new wideman during Sunday's East Lancashire derby, as he played the final 20 minutes, with the manager feeling that he showed glimpses of the talents at his disposal.
Speaking to Rovers Player, Bowyer said: "I think you saw when he came on, his directness, his pace, and his ability to put the ball in the box.
"There were a couple of great crosses that he put in and that is something that we felt that we could just do with with the run-in.
"He had a very enjoyable time at Bolton and we are hoping that he produces the same level of performance.
"He only arrived on Friday night, met the lads on Saturday, we had no problems putting him on the pitch and I think he showed glimpses of what he is capable of to the supporters.
"It is great to have those forward and attacking options for us."
