Etuhu and King to get U21 outing

14 March 2014

Dickson Etuhu and Joshua King are surprise inclusions in Rovers' Under-21 squad to face Liverpool this evening.

Etuhu hasn't featured for Rovers since sustaining an ankle ligament injury in training back in November. Whilst a hamstring strain has sidelined King since the beginning of February when he limped out of the 2-0 win over Blackpool, but both are in Eric Kinder's starting eleven for tonight's match.

After losing to league leaders Fulham 3-0 on Tuesday evening, the young Rovers have another tough task against second-placed Liverpool, but go into the game in good spirits as the midweek scoreline didn't reflect the performance.

After his international exploits with New Zealand, Tim Payne is back in the starting eleven.

ROVERS: Raya, Fernandez, Beesley, Tanner, Edwards, Lenihan, Green, Etuhu, Rittenberg, Payne, King.

Subs: Bauress, Urwin, Cotton, Tumwa, Paulo Jorge.

The match at Liverpool's training ground is behind closed doors, there is no general admission allowed. Kick-off is at 7.00pm.
