Edgar makes Irish bow

7 March 2014

Mark Edgar made his debut for Northern Ireland's Under-19s on Thursday afternoon as they drew 2-2 with Switzerland in Dungannon.

The 17-year-old played in central defence for the Irish as they came from two goals down to earn a share of the points, making amends for their 3-0 loss to the same opponents on Tuesday.

Edgar, who went close to scoring himself, played the full match.
