Gary Bowyer's squad could be boosted by the return of Tom Cairney for Saturday's trip to take on Millwall.

The midfielder has missed the last six match since sustaining an ankle ligament injury in the 1-0 away win over Reading back in February.

Cairney returned to training last week, and provided there is no reaction ahead of the clash at The Den, he should be in the travelling squad.

Another player who could also be involved is Josh King. The Norwegian missed the 3-3 draw with Watford on Tuesday night with a back complaint, whilst Grant Hanley will be pressing his claims for a place in the starting eleven after being on the bench at Vicarage Road.

Bowyer revealed: "Tom will be back involved at the weekend as long as he is okay on Thursday and Friday.

"Josh King has had a bit of a back spasm so he missed out on Tuesday but we're expecting him to come back into it."

Rovers will be up against the Championship's bottom side, with Bowyer disappointed that they aren't travelling to the capital off the back of a win.

"We're disappointed not to be going to Millwall on the back of an impressive away win at Watford.

"But we've got bodies coming back, competition is good, and we've got to finish as strong as we possibly can and see how far that takes us."

Tickets for the Millwall match are currently on open sale priced £26.00 Adults, £17.00 Seniors (aged 60+), £13.00 Under 16s, and £7.00 Under 12s. Tickets will go off sale at the Oneroverstore at 12pm on Friday and at the Roverstore at 4pm Friday. Tickets will be on sale at The Den on the day of the game from the North Stand Ticket Office.
