Rovers have been handed some welcome injury news ahead of this Saturday's home game against Leicester City.
Manager Gary Bowyer could welcome back Josh King, Grant Hanley, Dickson Etuhu, Jason Lowe and Rudy Gestede to the squad for the Ewood Park clash against the league leaders.
Lowe and Gestede both picked up knocks in last weekend's win over Huddersfield Town, both leaving before half time. Lowe turned his ankle, whilst Gestede had to be stretchered from the field of play after sustaining a concussion, but it is hoped both could feature against the Foxes.
"Lowey is look good and we are going to give him as long as we can," confirmed the Rovers boss on Thursday.
"Rudy was a big groggy during the week but he has trained fine today, so we just need to see how he reacts to training today in the morning."
Last Friday night saw Josh King and Dickson Etuhu play 45 minutes for the Under-21s, and that was backed up with an hour in a behind closed doors friendly earlier this week, which was welcome news for Bowyer.
"They played for the Under-21s last week and then we had a behind closed doors game midweek and they both played an hour of that," added the manager.
"I'm delighted that both of them have come through that again and we've just got to see how they are and get them back in the squad. We are going to need them both because of the amount of games coming in the next three weeks.
"Tom Cairney has been out on the grass today, Saturday is going to be too soon and I think Tuesday is going to be too soon as well for him.
"He is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and we can't to have the good looking lad back on the training ground.
"The medical and sports science staff have done a great job with all of them. We are looking forward to having them all back now and giving us a problem."
