A match to look forward to

21 March 2014

Gary Bowyer wants his Rovers team to show their character once more against league leaders Leicester City this Saturday.

Rovers go into the game looking off the back of a morale boosting away win, but now aim to get back to winning ways on home soil after back-to-back losses at Ewood Park.

"It is a great test for us and one that we are really looking forward to," said the Rovers boss.

"We are going to have a right good go at them and see for ourselves, measure ourselves against them.

"It is an opportunity to go and put ourselves against the best and they are the best."

The manager knows it won't be easy against Nigel Pearson's high-flying Foxes but Bowyer believes his side are up for the fight after last week's away win over Huddersfield Town.

Bowyer added: "The challenge that you get, you see who comes out of it with the character.

"We've been through a sticky period, a tough week, and I think you saw the character and the spirit that the lads have developed over this season.

"We are going to need all that again because we've a tough one against Leicester, then we travel away to Watford, and then we finish the week with another journey back down to London and Millwall, which is never an easy place to go.

"We are going to need everybody and all the belief and confidence that we've got from last Saturday's result."

Tickets for Saturday's match will be on open sale until the 3.00pm kick-off. Tickets are priced from £19 Adults, £12 Seniors and £7 Juniors. Book online today at and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point on the day of the game.
