Rovers boasted four representatives at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Midfielders Brett Emerton and Vince Grella both turned out for Australia as they narrowly missed out at progressing from the group stage at the expense of Germany and Ghana.
Emerton, who made close on 300 appearances for Rovers, started every game for the Socceroos, whilst Grella featured just once in their opening game against eventual semi-finalists Germany.
Former Rovers stalwart Ryan Nelsen captained New Zealand to just their second ever World Cup and played everymatchasthey were the only unbeaten team at the tournament, drawing their three group games against Slovakia, Italy and Paraguay.
Nelsen made over 200 appearances during his seven years with Rovers, becoming a firm fans favourite.
