There are some things that money can’t buy and Charlene Dugdale’s reaction when she found out that she’d won a Golden Ticket was certainly one of them.
The 25-year-old, from Darwen, jumped for joy when she was presented with a free season ticket for the 2014-15 campaign by Rovers’ Director of Communications Alan Myers.
Charlene had been nominated for the special prize by her boyfriend Robert Hollis, who had informed the club of her unswerving support for Rovers during a tragic time in her life.
A season ticket holder in the Blackburn End for over 10 years, Charlene lost her mum and her brother at the age of 17.
“I want to say a massive thank you to Robert,” she said.
“I think it’s a brilliant idea and I’m really surprised – I would never have expected to win it!”
Rovers are giving away a Golden Ticket every day this week – and 20 in total – to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our 1994-95 Premiership title triumph.
