Blackburn Rovers have reinforced their defensive ranks with the arrival of Alex Baptiste from Bolton Wanderers.
Baptiste becomes the third player to sign on a busy day of transfer activity at Ewood Park, joining on a season long loan deal.
Equally comfortable at full back or in the centre of defence, Baptiste started his professional career with Mansfield Town where he made almost 200 appearances in a six-year spell with the Stags.
A move to Lancashire followed, signing for Blackpool in the summer of 2008, and he played a pivotal role as the Ian Holloway's side clinched promotion to the Premier League at Wembley in 2010.
After 190 appearances for Blackpool, the 28-year-old made the switch to Bolton Wanderers last summer, featuring 43 times for the Trotters, scoring on four occasions including the consolation goal as Rovers defeated Bolton at Ewood Park in a 4-1 win last August.
