Markus Olsson has revealed that talks with boss Gary Bowyer at the end of the season convinced him to re-sign for Rovers.
The full back admitted he did have the option of joining other clubs, but was happy to put pen to paper on a new one-year deal.
"I'm very happy to have signed a new contract with the club," Olsson told Rovers Player.
"I was talking to other clubs but I spoke to the manager and what he had to tell me helped a lot, so I signed here again.
"Last season it was a hard time being out of the team that much, but when I got my chance I did well. The manager and the rest of the staff they've been positive with me, saying they want to keep me here.
"I think I showed what I can do in those last few games, I just need to keep working hard and show the staff that I deserve to be in the starting eleven."
