Gary Bowyer was pleased to see the lads back out on the grass as Rovers began their pre-season preparations this Friday.
After a couple of days doing the usual pre-summer tests, the boots were back on as the players took to the Brockhall turf.
"We all needed the rest after last season, but halfway through the summer you are dying to get back and the players were the same," said the Rovers boss.
"Credit to them they've come back in fantastic shape, they've done their first two days of testing and we are now straight into the football because of the condition that they've come back in.
"There's a really good feeling about the place and the comparison to twelve months ago is massive."
After last season's well documented injury woes, a fully fit squad was a welcome sight for the manager with just Ruben Rochina and Corry Evans absent.
"Ruben is back in tomorrow and Corry is back in on Monday and that is everybody back," added Bowyer.
"We've got a fully fit squad, so from my point of view I wish we had a game this weekend.
"The lads that were injured at the end of last season, Ben Marshall and Adam Henley, to their credit they came in through the summer themselves and are back fit and with the group."
