No-one knows better how difficult Saturday's match against Doncaster will be than their former defender Tommy Spurr.
The 26-year-old spent two seasons at the South Yorkshire club, including clinching promotion from League One in dramatic fashion last season, and is well aware that Rovers will have their hands full at Ewood Park.
"Obviously knowing a lot of the Donny lads still, they are a good side," said Spurr.
"They have shown that they can beat teams, like beating QPR at the Keepmoat and they went to Loftus Road last week and gave them a fright and by all accounts played very well and should have won.
"So you cannot take them very lightly as was shown when we played them at their place that they can beat us.
"We all need to be on our game and play with that intensity that we did against Man City and hopefully our quality will show through."
Spurr has revenge on his mind after defeat the 2-0 defeat in the corresponding fixture back in August. Rovers struggled on their first visit to the Keepmoat with a goal in each half condemning them to defeat.
"The defeat hurt all the lads but especially having only just left it was a bit of a downer for me as well," added the defender.
"But we have gone through that stage now, all the lads know what they are doing and what we are trying to work towards which is to get in that top six.
"We know that we need to win these games against teams lower down in the league, we need to be beating these teams at home."
