Striker Gestede believes that Rovers can approach the match against Manchester City with no fear.
Rovers are huge underdogs for the FA Cup with Budweiser third round tie against the Premier League title chasers, the Frenchman believing all the pressure will be on their opponents at Ewood Park this Saturday lunchtime.
The 25-year-old, who signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Rovers this week, can't wait to face City.
"Everybody is expecting that we are going to lose so there is no pressure on us, the pressure is all on Man City," said Gestede.
"It is a very big game against a very big team. Obviously they will make some changes, but it is still a good game.
"City have some of the top players in the world but we still have our chance, I think we can see where we are, if we are ready for the Premier League.
"Obviously you can't see it all from one game but we are playing against some of the best players in the world like Kompany or Toure, so if we do well against them it is very good for the confidence for the rest of the season.
"So it is important for us to be focussed and ready for the game. We'll take our chance, I think we have the team to do something."
Rovers Player will be providing full 90 minute commentary of the game, our broadcast starts at 9am.
